Have you started a list of questions for the doctor?
Surgery robotically - and yes through my ribs. I know this is going to sound weird but the surgery did not bother me at all and I had a drain in me for 4 days in the hospital. The first four weeks weren't bad either and I have walked 40 mins every day. Week 5 started some weird stuff...feeling of numbness on my right side and pretty bad pain. Supposedly the nerves they had to cut or stretch or whatever are "waking up"....holy cow. Maybe I was lucky but not bad at all until this nerve pain.

I had the robotic sugery June 24th.
Very little pain. Occasionally I do get stabs from lifting something heavy but, sometimes too much driving
I had my rt lower lobe totally removed, also a wedge removed on the upper lobe on the rt also
Mine were two different types of cancer so it had not masticated!!!
the nodules were .3 and less then1.0
I was told no noules but, one dr says they did but the surgeon said no
Now I am having an issue upping my life ins with the outcome
I dont understand, I am 100 percent cancer free?

I had robotic surgery last November, and I also have intercostal neuralgia with numbness. I was managing to live with it because it was intermittent, but a few weeks ago, it came back with a vengeance. The numbness radiated from my right side to my left, and around my back, and it was extremely uncomfortable. Even though the discomfort is back to being manageable, there is a good chance I will end up going to a pain clinic.
