I imagine you test your Oxygen saturation with an oximeter to make sure you are getting enough. If not you really should consider having your Dr test you to see if you need to be on Oxygen.

Yes, I am on oxygen.

Hello Joyeous, Yes I thought you might be on Oxygen based on your post. I am also on Oxygen and can relate to what you wrote. I try to keep it set at 2.5 or 3. I can still cook but usually have to sit at the kitchen counter to prep things. The only way I can clean the house is on a good day one room at a time but with my husbands help. Right now my whole house needs cleaning badly! I do best when sitting. Late afternoons I am able to get on the treadmill for 20 min set at a flat and easy pace. I started Brinsupri recently and wonder if it will work in my case. Have they put you on it? Do you also have hypercapnia? I do. Take care. I can certainly relate.

2 ReactionsI finally had to make a decision yesterday. I have been trying hard everyday no matter what to either do video-guided exercises at home for 20 minutes or walk 2 miles. On most days that exertion causes me a painful and irresistible exhaustion that puts me horizontal for much of the remaining hours of the day. I just can't fight it anymore, I am going to reduce the exercise and see if life is less depressing and discouraging. Many people say exercise gives them energy - I've tried for so long and I am not one of that group.

There comes a time when we can't, for various reasons, do a detailed long exercise program.
At 83, with not having done much exercising throughout my life, I am now doing some due to my BE and mucus.
I limit mine and do just enough movements while sitting up in the bed. Movements meaning the legs and arms in a easy motion especially to keep the joints in better condition. Of course there are other benefits to easy movement and motion. I do walk for fifteen minutes each morning and some mornings, for various reasons, I just walk. I walk in the house...when I feel it is best to avoid the outside temperatures. How life changes, for most of us, as we journey through life.
