Sjogren and bronchiectasis.

Pulmonologist claims Sjogren just causes dry mouth. He keeps treating me with rigorous clearance routine that doesn't work. Claims I am medically non-compliant. Anyone have the same experience?

See a different doctor Talk with your family doctor, friend and see who they are going with. Tell your doctor you don’t feel like this person is giving you the best care, and tell them why. You might need to go a different clinic.
Research.. check out different clinic on line. Like Mayo, Cleveland clinic and so on. Also google/Scholar, do your homework. The more you know the more you will feel better about what is going on.
My family doctor is great. He has helped me a lot.
Wish you the best.

Thank you so much. Homework is right because I live in an area that has a low population of doctors.

@abuamir Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! I’m very glad that you found this site and are taking part in the discussion! Feel free to ask questions and I know the members will be ready to answer them.
The comment about getting another opinion means that you can find another doctor if you don’t get along with the 1st one.
Just a quick question—how did you find out about the site and MCC?

In addition, Sjögren’s is now called Sjögren’s Disease, because doctors are recognizing how serious this condition is. It’s not just a matter of dry eyes, it can effect the entire body. You may need to take antibiotics prior to dental cleanings to prevent abscesses. It can slow down your digestive process. It may effect your kidneys.

If you are unhappy with what you are being told get a second opinion.
I have sjogren and it is more than dry mouth.
Wish you the best.

I understand what you are saying. It is not easy for you to get a second opinion because of where you live.
I spoke with a family member a few weeks ago about getting to a doctor. I was horrified to find out in the last 20+ years most of the medical places have closed or have very limited care. She was saying to get medical care. It takes him driving about two hours to get to a doctor. And if you’re having a baby, it is 2 to 3 hours to find a place that will deliver your baby. And if they need immediate help limited ambulance or they call for a helicopter to come in. This is the heartland of our country. Farmers need good medical care as well as good emergency care
So I fully understand the limits you are facing
I do wish you’re the very best and finding the right doctor Saying a few prayers for you

After my diagnosis, the first thing my rheummy did was insist I get a Kidney and a Liver specialist. Which I did. So far, so good.

@deb2025 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! You can probably get more help and answers to your questions, by going to the Transplant support group.
https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/transplants/. Yes, Sjogrens disease is an autoimmune one, but right now I think you need more info on transplants than Sjogrens, Is that OK with you ?
