Sjogerns and oral hyaluronic acid supplementation

Posted by cpd54 @cpd54, Jun 30, 2023

Does anyone take oral hyaluronic acid for their Sjogerns symptoms? I take 125 mg for joint health and have noticed if I don’t take it my eyes get dryer. I found a study where 250mg was taken for Sjogerns but I can’t find the study again.

Hello @cpd54, Is this the study you found before?

No. The one I read was concerning oral supplementation.

@cpd54 Hi and how are you. I think @johnbishop and I are doing a ‘mentor pile-on.’ Anyway, I found this study
Which mentions oral use of hyaluronic acid. It’s rather a scholarly article but if you work your way toward the end, it gives conclusion.

Where did you hear about hyaluronic acid and it’s use for sjogren’s?

Thanks for the article. I read about it in that study that has mysteriously disappeared 😂. I was taking HA orally prior to being diagnosed with SS for joint health and had noticed if I missed taking it my eyes were dryer.
