Sinus drainage

Posted by mgenteline @mgenteline, Sep 4 10:35am

Does anyone have constant sinus drainage (no stuffy nose) that clogs your throat? It seems to clog my voice box and can’t be coughed out. I wonder if my clogged throat interferes with the effectiveness of my inhalers. I have tried saline rinses and antihistamines.

Was thinking about the idea of TP and thought, I have a Kleenex box empty and I am going to get my roll of TP and get it in the box and feed the end through the opening and then it will look nicer. LOL TRUTH Hope you are getting by.

I'm new to all this COPD stuff. Medications, antibiotics, inhalers, nebulizers, etc. It's exhausting. My Pulmonologist hasn't been as forthcoming with info as I wish he were. I guess some doctors forget that the patient doesn't always know what's out there for medications that are helpful. I never would have guessed at 74 I'd be dealing with such scary issues. But, I'm putting on my "big girl pants" and researching every shred of info I can find to assure myself that when I talk to my doctor, I know what I'm talking about and can give him accurate descriptions of symptoms I'm having. In reading the posts on this site I can surely see the challenges COPD can present and that each individual reacts differently not only to the disease but to the medications too. Glad to have this support group available to me and thank you all for the info you've already given me.

Thanks so much, I'll check into the book. I'm on a waiting list for pulmonary rehab and it would be good to know something about it before I go. Thanks again.
