Sinus drainage
Does anyone have constant sinus drainage (no stuffy nose) that clogs your throat? It seems to clog my voice box and can’t be coughed out. I wonder if my clogged throat interferes with the effectiveness of my inhalers. I have tried saline rinses and antihistamines.

You probanly have a sinus infection which drains to the throat. I've had one for over 2-1/2 years since mine is pseudomonas aeruginosa which is resistant to antibiotics
I have the same constant drainage - no sinus infection. One of the medications I take causes drainage so I'm guessing it's the cause. Dr. can't find any other reason. It's a pain but kleenex is my new best friend!
I live in south Texas & the Pollen is awful,.When I cant seem to shake the mucus I do take Mucinex or Equate brand is fine..Use your Flonase as well...You should see a difference..ask you Dr for Singular also...I also have a Duo Nebulizer..it helps alot
I finally abandoned Kleenex and now use Walmart TP. Much much cheaper than the boxed tissues. Just thought I would jump in with what I am doing.
All the best to you Pam. Greetings from Canada
Thank you for that idea! It'll help.
My son looked at me like???? I don't make nearly $100,000/yr LOL I wasn't always so frugal as I am now. Thought Mom was pretty silly with her money saving ideas. Yep do the same now. LOL Hope you do as well as possibly Pam. Hugs from Canada.
Yes, affects my voice and chest, causing constant need to cough and rid mucous.
I'm new to all this COPD stuff. Medications, antibiotics, inhalers, nebulizers, etc. It's exhausting. My Pulmonologist hasn't been as forthcoming with info as I wish he were. I guess some doctors forget that the patient doesn't always know what's out there for medications that are helpful. I never would have guessed at 74 I'd be dealing with such scary issues. But, I'm putting on my "big girl pants" and researching every shred of info I can find to assure myself that when I talk to my doctor, I know what I'm talking about and can give him accurate descriptions of symptoms I'm having. In reading the posts on this site I can surely see the challenges COPD can present and that each individual reacts differently not only to the disease but to the medications too. Glad to have this support group available to me and thank you all for the info you've already given me.
Was thinking about the idea of TP and thought, I have a Kleenex box empty and I am going to get my roll of TP and get it in the box and feed the end through the opening and then it will look nicer. LOL TRUTH Hope you are getting by.
good idea
