Should I remind my husband about a Son he’s never been close to?

My husband had a Son at age 15 he was never close to him doesn’t ever mention him should I remind him of his Son He was raised by his grandparents I did text him to let him know about his Dads Alzheimer’s but have not heard from him I don’t know how my husband will handle it
