@karenahmari I agree with Scott that you may wish to ask your auntie's primary care physician about getting a referral to Mayo Clinic for an evaluation.
However, you do not need a doctor referral to be seen by Mayo Clinic experts. You can call for an appointment yourself (self refer). Simply call Mayo Clinic appointments department. The numbers can be found here - http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63. They will walk you through the steps and what you need to do to get your aunt seen at Mayo.

@karenahmari I am so sorry that you are experiencing this frustrating experience. Is it possible to switch primary physicians? Perhaps you can find one who will refer her.

This really makes me upset! @ '06 Mom asked her Dr. for memory meds. "They don't always work" that means Sometimes They Do Work" - after I met that Dr., took Mom away from her and got a better insurance plan for her.
Next Dr. was annoyed that Mom was going to see a really great Neurologist and he did not want her to .... take up his time?
I left that Dr. - then got her Namenda And Arecept.
I REALLY THINK IT DID HELP. And when Mom hit the donut hole - had to debate about hundreds $ for those meds - got them from Canada. so meds from '07 to '10 and 1 month before Mom died at 92, she was flirting with men at the pool and was cunning and smiling.
I was in a dark grape study at UCLA for dementia. EAT DARK GRAPES.
ALSO, from Psychiatrist at UCLA, don't eat after 8:30pm. - Cortisol? goes to brain.
1 Dr. called me self directed. I read on Internet and get med newsletters.
