Seizure during sleep?

Posted by minajo @minajo, Apr 23 7:40pm

I had recent very concerning " episode" few nights ago
I had gone to bed couple hours later than usual, took one Aleve as I do couple times week for knee pain, I remember being " awake" around 3 am with extreme shaking , arms and legs trembling, 8 could NOT wake myself up to get up, turn on light, next thing I know it's 10Am and I NEVER sleep that long.. checked pjs , bedding for incontinence, none , was groggy for couple hours,
Is it possible to be aware of a "seizure" but unable to wake up, the extreme sleep hours like post ictal?
It's been a week, I didn't alert pcp
I did have fall in December but ct of brain was okay at ER ..
Any ideas?

@santosha i haven't done another EEG yet. I'm still trying to get through all this other stuff but I have a positive feeling that it will all work out. I want to make each day the best that it can be . I don't really know where I get that idea? talk soon. Thanks for everything...

I'm sorry to hear of your accidents. Your positive attitude and controling your own life instead of letting your epilepsy control it, is inspirational. Keep it up.
I'm sorry to hear you fell and broke your ankle and falling down the stairs and had a seizure. Apparently you don't do anything in a small way. I've fallen down a flight of stairs, broke my ankle and had a bunch of seizures, but at least I never had them all at once.
Hope you recover quickly.
Take care,
Jake
