Safe weight loss medicine for pancreatitis?
My doctor found a mistake that says I had pancreatitis 4 years ago. I had my gall bladder taken out at that time. Now she won’t let me take any of the medication for weight loss. But as I said I never had it. Also my daughter an RN went through my gall bladder surgery together.
Be that as it may I think are there any meds that is safe for someone with pancreatitis?

Hi, Natalie - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Interesting that the doctor found some kind of mistake and that you were actually diagnosed with pancreatitis four years ago.
I have at times found a pharmacist very helpful in contending with side effects or expectations of a medication, even well after the medication was prescribed. Have you by chance talked to your pharmacist on this to see what they might recommend?
