Rectocele surgery: was your outcome of surgery in Fl good?

Posted by joyce7 @joyce7, Jan 30, 2024

I have Stage III rectocele (prolapse) and would like to read about the outcomes of your repair surgeries here in Jacksonville, Fl. I think I am heading for this surgery and am terrified. Anyone out there in Florida who have had this done?

With the success rate, I’ve decided against surgery.

Had a posteria recotcele repair 2 years ago and havent been able to sleep ever since. Burning rectum tingling down arms and legs can lie or sit down and on Trazadon 100mg to help me sleep at night. Making sleep unbearable and getting nowhere.

Hello sharshy ~
Do you mind my asking where your surgery was done?
I have advanced grade-2 rectocele & am considering surgery, which would probably be done at Stanford Medical in CA.
Thank you

Hi Joyce 7…. I live in Jacksonville Florida…saw one colorectal Dr 2 yrs ago…he recommended surgery for my “ full rectal prolapse”. I have not pursued it further. I have daily problems with it every day…however I can push it back in…I am continuing to just live with it for now…I makes every effort to keep my bowels soft so I don’t strain. I truly do not want to go the surgery option unless it becomes absolutely necessary. Too many risks as far as I can determine.
