Rectocele surgery: was your outcome of surgery in Fl good?

Posted by joyce7 @joyce7, Jan 30, 2024

I have Stage III rectocele (prolapse) and would like to read about the outcomes of your repair surgeries here in Jacksonville, Fl. I think I am heading for this surgery and am terrified. Anyone out there in Florida who have had this done?

I live in Central Florida and have a Rectocele that requires surgery. I was diagnosed after a decography MRI. With my symptoms it isn’t a choice to have the surgery performed. I will be unable for 6 weeks to do water aerobics or chair yoga. I’m more concerned about the recovery time than the surgery.

I am having rectrocele surgery tomorrow. I too also worry about recovery. I would rather have this done then deal with this.

I had my surgery yesterday and I must admit that I had my worst migraine ever with nausea. I have not been in any pain from the surgery at all. I’m doing well today and just taking extra strength Tylenol. I’m still in no pain.

I too need this surgery and would love to hear others experiences after having the surgery!

Did you have the surgery yet? If so how are you doing? What was your recovery time? complications? Pain?

I’m doing great. 3 weeks out and no problems. After the 1st week back to my 2 1/2 mile walk each morning and lifting 8lbs weights. 4 week check with the doc at the end of next week. I just have to remember not to lift anything more than the 10lb limit.
