Problems walking after covid
My mother caught covid for the first time in the hospital after surgery a couple of months ago (don’t get me started on how lax hospitals are with covid protocols) and since that time she has problems walking. She either has to use a Walker or wheelchair depending on the day. Her legs will suddenly feel heavy or like “jelly legs” and give out on her. Has anyone else had this reaction. She had the same reaction after the first couple of moderna vaccines but they went away after a day.
Thank you all.

Is anyone taking NADH for fatigue and/or PEM (post-exertional malaise) ?
I'm 82 years old and 4+ years post covid. I take *A Lot* of supplements - something to support every system in my body in an attempt to eliminate this condition.
I am better BUT can't seem to get over the finish line so to speak.
Oh, and I do participate in daily yoga nidra sessions which DO help my nervous system provide more energy...believe it or not, it does work.
I am not familiar with that ailment. I will look into it. Thanks for the comment.
So I'm not crazy. I got covid for the first time this march 2025. Nothing tastes right some days I can't walk what do I do
I've been a detal assistant for over 25 years and now can't get out of bed some days and people around me don't believe me
I had noo reaction to to the vaccine but when I got covid 4/25 my life changed I can barely walk what m only 54
I have had ME/CFS for over 40 years, but never had trouble walking until I got Covid twice in 2022-23. My balance is awful and sometimes my legs feel like tree trunks I am dragging around. Two things, however have helped. I had three reflexology treatments. This is an ancient modality actually dating back to Egyptian days. Supposedly different parts of your feet relate to different organs of your body. I know is sounds a little out there, but I have been able to make two trips since then without using a cane. (Anne Romney, wife of the former presidential candidate Mitt Romney used reflexology to get her out of a wheel chair after she was diagnosed with MS.) The other help was changing my walking pattern from tiny shuffling steps to try to keep my balance to larger steps with heel to toe walking and swinging my arms. It is amazing that I can walk so much better, not as good as before Covid, but improving all the time.
I am sorry for the late response. I went to a couple neurologists, an ENT and a more "natural medicine" doctor. The latter prescribed me to try low dose naltrexone, which I have been faithfully doing for 3 months. I feel a bit stronger, but my balance and walker are unchanged. I am moving on to looking in the protocol of Dr. Bruce Patterson to see if that might help. Keep me informed if you find any new things. Trump and defunded the Long COVID program , but I see somehow that has changed and it is back going again. There is a clinical trial I am vaguely familiar with testing Dr. Patterson's plan, but I don't think it is completed as yet.
Keep us informed of any progress. If you read the info. on this site, you will note that no one has the magic bullet yet, but there are some things in the works it appears. I have been stuck on a walker for 4 years or so.
I appreciate the walking ideas
Longer strides with arms in motion and heel to toe steps. A great reminder for me.
Balance was and still is a problem from LC. I did physical therapy, and it helped, but I had to give up ball room dance.
I’ve had Cov and after is rhe worst part. After is when I hardly can walk. My legs are shaky.

I’m recently trying the nicotine patch. Many natural doctors use this for patients.
Nicotine patches come in 7 mg 14 and 21 mg. They say take a 7 mg nicotine patch cut it into three parts and only put one part on per day from morning till supper or bedtime. If you use too strong of it you can get nausea, headache, vomiting, bad dreams, restlessness, panicky, agitation, tiredness, dizzy, off-balance I am using it for the first time this week, so I’m not sure but I’ve read many people being helped many people feel normal.
If you would like to have your own labs taken, that don’t need a doctor they have a company it’s called Ulta labs walk-in labs is another one. Direct Lab‘s is another one. I think they’re all at.com and you can order your own Blood Work. They have like a CBC for a $97 I think It’s way cheaper than going to the doctor and all the results are sent to your email but anyone with severe fatigue and that I would have the iron and the ferritin checked that your iron storage I might even have the vitamins checked.
