Positional headache?

Posted by pammy816 @pammy816, 1 day ago

I have been experiencing what my Dr referred to as positional headaches. I first started experiencing this several months ago. They weren’t all the time but within the last few months more frequently. It is a sudden headache that comes on from a sitting to standing position. It can be pretty intense but only lasts about 30 seconds( I’ve been counting). I am always better when standing and moving around.
I am a pretty healthy 67 yr old. woman. I have some arthritis in joints.
I have an apt with a neurologist in June but would appreciate an ideas.

Hi, @pammy816 - I'm tagging members who have talked about positional headache or other positional neurologic ailments who might have some input related to what you were mentioning your doctor called positional headaches that occur when you go from sitting to standing with some intensity. Please meet, if you've not before, @sunnyflower @migraineelaine. It's possible @sepdvm also may know something about this type of headache.

I'm guessing, pammy816, that you are looking for tips on how to alleviate these types of headaches?
