Parkinson's and Any non-medicine treatments.

My PT told me this morning that he has had some Parkinson's patients that are using things from health stores, but he couldn't remember what they were. Does anyone have any ideas? He thought one of them started with a B. I have very recently been diagnosed with PD (3 months) although looking back, I think I have had it for several years.

Sorry to hear that but they do say to give a little while. wear it for a while to see if it works. there are a percentage of people that it takes a couple of weeks.

Ugh sorry. we have been just charging mine for 45 mins we set a timer and at 45 mins take it off the charger. They have been good about responding they even sent us another one free of charge when my first one didn't turn on. On a separate note, they have a video somewhere showing a man that thought it wasn't working and when he was asked to write something without it, he had the PD handwriting and when he turned it on the handwriting was better.
i was having internal tremors last night really bad and put mine on in bed and it stopped and i was able to fall asleep
Hoping and praying for you that this works.

@emmit First day using Beech Band. Wish me luck.

How's the Beechband been for you so far? And, how noisy is it? I've read reviews where people comment/complain the buzzing sound is kinda loud.

@itsdave Not well. On day three I put it on, pushed he button and....nothing. I find it disconcerting that there is no way to tell if the unit is 'on' or 'off.' They said they would send a replacement - still waiting (patiently?). The buzzing sound was actually comforting. My dog was fascinated by it.

@goatgirl28 Sorry to hear yours isn't working properly! I hope your replacement arrives soon. Did it help you during the short period it did work? Is the buzzing comparable to a cell phone buzzing, or is it quieter? I'm thinking if I was in a theater, would someone sitting next to me hear it?

@itsdave I do feel that it was going to be helpful. Quieter. Most people would not notice.

Yes sorry it’s not working. Hopefully your replacement comes soon.
The buzzing is not bad. I’ve noticed that the better it’s sitting against my skin the quieter it is. So more flat against my arm.
I am fortunate to be part of the percentage where it worked right away for me.
There is a large percentage that it takes longer.
I do believe it’s “tricking” the brain and maybe some need more conditioning time
Prayers for both of you
