Does anyone know what actually works for the rash on the head, face, chest and back?

@aparrish01 I've read this drug is for advanced Pancreatic cancer with spreading. That a a patient post Whipple who's had successful tumor removal wouldn't benefit from it. Anyone have thoughts or input.

My understanding is The FDA approval is for Adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma who
(1) have received at least one prior systemic therapy, or
(2) are not candidates for multi-agent systemic therapy.

Details:
* Cancer type: pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) — the usual ductal pancreatic cancer, not pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer or other pancreatic tumors.
* Stage: it must be metastatic, meaning the cancer has spread to distant sites.
* Prior treatment: at least one systemic treatment is required, unless the patient isn’t a candidate for multi-agent therapy.
* RAS mutation is not required by the FDA label. The approval covers metastatic PDAC with or without an identified RAS mutation; no companion diagnostic is required.
* It is a once-daily oral targeted therapy, not conventional chemotherapy.

Whether or not a Whipple procedure was done earlier isn't a criteria.

A doctor can prescribe RASONQUE outside the exact FDA-approved indication. That is called off-label prescribing. The FDA specifically says that once a drug is approved, healthcare providers generally may prescribe it for an unapproved use when they judge it medically appropriate for an individual patient.

@casey1959 I think you can be glad if your husband is prescribed this medication! Yes, there are side effects, but I find them less onerous than those with chemo. We thank God that this medication became available just when I needed it! Wishing you both well with whatever treatment your husband undergoes!
