In previous posts I have indicated that I have apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, ventricular tachycardia, bradycardia, and some morphing. So far, I have had a boat load of tests, numerous medications with dosages increased, decreased, and dropped. I take my blood pressure twice a day, and the readings are up and down. I also have a loop recorder that sends the days heart rhythms electronically to my team of urologists. I am still experiencing times of lightheadedness, low pulse 38-40, and at times a little nausea. The electrophysiologist is considering a pacemaker. My question is, how does a pacemaker react with all of the above.? I know they are intended to keep your rhythms more consistent, but what about the cardiomyopathy? Is a pacemaker worth it, and will I still keep the implanted loop recorder. I have a phone appointment next Tues. with the electrophysiologist. What questions should I be asking?
