Ovarian cancer - not responding to chemo

When my cancer became platinum resistant, I was given another drug called Caelyx, which is a form of doxorubicin. You could ask whether that is an option.
I have also just been given topotecan, which the cancer has responded to.
I was diagnosed with high grade serous ovarian cancer, stage 3c in August 2010. Initially my cancer responded to taxol and carboplatin. I also had a radical hysterectomy, so surgery was an option. My cancer was in both ovaries, the peritoneal cavity and multiple lymph nodes.
Everyone is different. My oncologist has always been positive, and told me there’s always options.

I have high grade serous cell endometrial cancer stage 3C. Had a radical hysterectomy, margins not cleared, no possibility of surgery. 6 rounds of Carb/Pac but only worked somewhat for a few months, then a new tumor in the vaginal cuff. Currently in a clinical trial testing Enhertu and it is working. NED. Enhertu works for HER 2+ and 3 and has been successful in treating breast cancer. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/breast-cancer/expert-answers/breast-cancer/faq-20058066. The clinical trial is in Kelowna, but I don't know whether they are are still recruiting patients. You could ask your doctors if there is any possibility of getting on it or whether there are any other trials.

@hlthcr2000 I will see how my appointment goes on Friday. If I feel like I need a second opinion, perhaps a telehealth meeting is an option. I just want to know what the most advance options are available for me.

Getting a second, or even a third, opinion can be so helpful. And with telemedicine, you can get it from anywhere. The best cancer centers in the US are Mayo Clinic, MDAnderson, Dana Farber, Sloan Kettering, and Massachusetts General Hospital. They will want your medical records. Write down your questions in advance. Ask why they recommend what they are recommending. Ask about the pros and cons of each particular treatment. And then see if you can get the treatment you want in Canada. It will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in the US if you don’t have American health insurance.

Have your docs considered adding Keytruda into your infusions ? Some people have had success with that. Wishing you the best as you seek better treatment. Consider 2nd or 3rd opinions—there are options out there.
