O2 levels?

Does anyone have a high resting oxygen level that goes down when mobile? I’m trying to increase my stamina as I’ve been down for a few months. Any suggestions??

Try this:
1. Practice slow deep breathing. Fill your diaphragm and then lungs via your nose, exhale slowly via your mouth.
2. Cut down on carbs (bread, rice, pasta, pastries, etc.) Carbohydrates metabolize into carbon dioxide which can severely inhibit normal breathing.
3. Drink organic tart cherry juice, 4 oz. at breakfast.
4. Inhale aroma of thyme leaves before walking or exercising and as needed.
5. Drink 4 ounces of organic pomegranate juice after exercising.
6. Sleep on your back with your head elevated.
7. Wear N95 mask during high pollen season. Milwaukee brand N95 is great.
Hope this helps!
I'm off all meds, including albuterol, 81 and young.

Thank you, I never heard of the thyme leaves before. I will try these!

I use supplemental O2 for walking and exertion so I can keep my O2 levels at or above 90%. I don’t want to stress my heart and can do more with the O2 and build stamina.

Thank you!! I do have a portable oxygen tank. I guess it will take awhile to build stamina back up??

When I am sitting at rest watching TV, reading, or even while eating, my O2 remains in an acceptable range of 89-95.
However, if I get up & walk 25 feet to the bathroom without oxygen, my numbers plummet to below 88. When I put my cannula back on I recover within a minute or so, but I’m very dependent on oxygen (3 liters) to move around slowly.
My FEV1 was last measured at 33%.
I just turned 80 years old yesterday &, although I try to eat nutritious meals, get adequate sleep, & try to exercise moderately, it’s obviously a losing battle. I’m just doing my best to slow the progression of the COPD.
My friend say “gettin’ old ain’t for sissies”. I have to add that having COPD ain’t either!
