I’ve seen a few posts saying that MAC has been cleared without treatment.lMy Dr. told me MAC would not go away without antibiotics..I am so afraid to start them..it seems s everyone has had horrible side effects..please help

@sak123 ..I’m starting antibiotics and a IV soon ,and I too am afraid of them !
I only am having them a short time because I am having my NTM 2.9 Cavitary cm lesion surgical removed in March .No way can I do 2 years of antibiotics.
The size of the lesion and whether it’s cavitary or not determines if you can just watch and see ,or need to be on antibiotics …
I’m also trying to look up homeopathic treatments for it as well!
Btw ,I am totally asymptomatic and only found this as an incidental finding on a chest x-ray……GOOD LUCK ,!!!

Mine was found accidentally also…
Best of luck to you..keep me posted on how you are doing. I have an appointment with an infectious disease doctor early Feb..
