ultrasound inadvertantly found:

The inferior vena cava seen to be patent. There is a mild aneurysmal distention of the mid abdominal aorta a measuring up to 5.2 cm. There is distal tapering of the vessel to 1.6 cm. No significant intraluminal thrombosus is demonstrated.

conclusion: Mid abdominal aortic aneurysm as noted. Considering size of the vessel, follow-up evaluation every 3-6 months is recommended.
