Can increasing blood flow help me manage pain in my extremities diagnosed as peripheral neuropathy?

peach414144 I have been reading about neuropathy. I am happy you mentioned VEIN. I had some swelling in both ankles. I do not use salt. Thinking it could be hidden salt in diet. Thought it could be Heart. Saw Cardiologist. He looked without testing & said, "You have Neuropathy". I went to my Neurologist she said, "You do not have Neuropathy". She ran a Test on both upper & lower legs. NO Neuropathy. Apparently my veins are thinning cutting down circulation starting at my ankles. Age 85 & gravity. If I elevate my legs the swelling goes away. I am due for appt. with her & I will discuss further my condition with her. She recommended more walking. Keep the blood flowing. I told her I don't want to lose any limbs. She replied, you won't. I certainly hope she is right. I know there is a name for my condition but I forgot it. Will have to go back into my records I am sure it must be there. Maybe someone out there can relate to the same symptoms. Thanks Boomarang12

You likely have CVI Chronic Venous Insufficiency. My podiatrist calls it slow veins. Are your lower legs or feet discolored?
