My husband has heart failure + having shortness of breath, tired

My husband has heart failure. Diuretics are helping keep liquid out of his lungs but now more often is having shortness of breath and feeling very tired. These symptoms make him very anxious and afraid. I’m thinking of asking his cardiologist about getting oxygen. Is there something I am failing to do?

Hi @janet7, There is another discussion where members with congestive heart failure may have experience or suggestions to share with you that might be helpful for your husband.

You might find this Mayo Clinic Q and A on the topic helpful:

I think it would be a good idea to talk with his cardiologist to see if oxygen might help or if he might have other suggestions. Do you mind providing an update after you talk with his doctor to see if oxygen might help?
