My daughter alcohol addiction and recovery

My husband and I moved in to help my daughter with her recovery. We nervous about moving back home and having her relapse. Any thoughts?

Welcome to Mayo Connect. There is always a fear of relapse.

Did she receive treatment, and if so, did they have her do a recovery plan? If it was not done as part of treatment, you can find samples online.

Has your daughter established a support system?

The best way to prevent relapse is to plan ahead and have a support system.

She did 60 days inpatient and is now on an outpatient program, attending AA meetings every day. She also has a sponsor.
