Has anyone used Monolaurin for Epstein Barre Virus?
Have any of you used monolaurin for EBV? And if you found it effective, could you let me know what supplement brand you used?
Thanks!

1 ReactionI'm in a very similar boat and working with a functional medicine Dr as well. If you don't mind sharing, which supplements did you see the most benefit from with regard to your adrenals?

1 ReactionMy daughter was diagnosed with EBV years ago when she was in 7th grade. She missed a semester of school. In years that followed she was diagnosed with mast cell activation and other disorders. In 7th grade the virus specialist in our city prescribed an antidepressant. I read an article about a person who had what was described as chronic fatigue syndrome who was helped with that treatment. The doctor said we would see if it would help. It did. She started to pull out of it. For several years after she would have sore glands if she did not get enough sleep. The underlying disorders were not diagnosed for decades.

1 ReactionBovine adrenal cortex extract and DHEA. Of course not without doing testing prior to starting (4 point saliva test).
I am currently using monolaurin (Lauricidin brand), Black Seed Oil and Lycine for my epstein virus. I think it is helping.
I haven’t but interested. I have just tested positive for EBV antibodies very high.
Yes I have and it was the Lauricidin brand of Monolaurin supplement

1 Reaction@rosaw159 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! I’m so glad that you’re here found the sire. May I ask what you used the Lauricidin for? Was it for a health issue? I’m sure that other members of the group will want to know.

1 ReactionI used the monlaurin for immune support, gut support and it’s antimicrobial properties. It is an over the counter supplement.

1 ReactionUnfortunately Functional Medicine is not covered with insurance in my home state. I feel like I jump from different supplements to help my EBV, but not much helps. Any suggestions on supplements are helpful. Curious though; which one has served you the best for energy levels? Hoping everyone heals soon.
