@carlosmayo

A little bit of hope to tell. I have had LC since April 2021. Was so sick I could not use a computer or walk around the block. Then went to Stanford LC clinic and started taking Naltrexone and Abilify. My symptoms are down 75% - back on a computer and took a 5 mile backpack trip - miracle. I'd rather have a cure, but at least in my case management of symptoms has been amazing.

@carlosmayo I too am happy for you and have a similar story to tell. Contracted LC in November '21 from the booster. Went to Mayo in August '23, and had their program fully implemented in September. I feel better, not 100% but better. Stopped my Naltrexone a few days ago (per plan) so I am interested to experience that change if any. What we will never know is how much of the recovery is simply time, but for now I will take the win.

Glad to hear of your improvement. Please let us know in a month or so how it goes stopping Naltrexone. That should be some indication of whether it is recovery with time, or medicine caused improvements. I wonder the same thing - have I partially recovered or is just the meds doing their job. Thank you.

@carlosmayo So many variables. In addition to Naltrexone, Mayo prescribed Cymbalta (which per their direction I have discontinued). I have continued to take many supplements, practice vagus nerve exercises, forced daily breaks, moderation of activity, zero alcohol, and constrained exercise. So, which is it out of all of those, one thing, some things, all the things. Will never know. Very happy to be off the Cymbalta, towards the end it made me feel incredibly unmotivated and lazy. Once off that I had a bounce to the good. I also had a bounce to the good after my last case of COVID. And then there's that darn variable again, time . . .
