Micro Clots

Posted by leahodell @leahodell, Mar 1, 2023

Have any of the Long Covid members been involved in reviewing the concept of microclots, as an explanation for ongoing symptoms following infection with Covid 19?

Please look up Dr. Jordan Vaughn in Alabama. He’s treating me for this currently.

Does Dr. Jordan Vaughn charge for online treatment? How much or does Medicare cover it?

Google BC-007 and read about Berlin Cures. I think the University in Germany has come up with a potential cure for this. They have done some trials but aren't on the market yet and we are hopeful that by third quarter this year it will be.

Yes you’re on the right track with BC007! They did help three individuals with Long COVID. They’re having the phase II trials right now. They’re supposed to finish by the end of 2023 or the start of 2024!

How is your treatment going? My nephew has been very ill - bed bound for a year with symptoms and just was tested via Dr. Vaughn and tested positive for microblood clots. I'm a bit nervous that we are all getting our hopes up and this won't be helpful.

Hello thank you for this post. I’m a Long Covid Patient (1st bout very early ‘20–and very serious bad long term effects still— & 2nd early ‘22) with RA, EPI, Asthma, Sjogrens, Fibro, SLE & other AI disorders. So many awful things have happened to me post-Covid. I never ever had issues with clotting until now. Have experienced several bouts of this over the past 15-18 months . Here are photos from this past Fall

Thank you for posting pics. I’ve been having random mild to moderate itching without hives and I will scratch the area without thinking much about it. Hours later it looks like terrible bruising of some sort. Is that how microclots can feel?

I've been told it's antiplatelet meds and anticoagulants. He hasn't been seen yet.

I’ve heard that red light therapy helps w micro clots. I try to do 20 min per day. Don’t know how much it has helped me. But am getting better

I've been a blood thinner for years (Eliquis), It hasn't helped. Apparently (if micro clots are the/a cause of long covid) the usual blood thinners don't help.
