Does anyone know if our pet dogs or cats could be the source of infection?

You know, I was just thinking about that myself. I had my face on my little dog this morning. It is hard to resist doing that. I do remember when I was at the NTM Conference this past spring, the experts did say to keep your face away from your pets. They carry things from outdoors in on their fur and some hold water around their mouths when drinking if they have a furry snout. Their main concern was our pets bringing in microbes from the outdoors. Particularly if your dog likes to dig or is in dirt.
