Lower leg pain and anaesthesia

Posted by rgbaker @rgbaker, Sep 15, 2021

I have been experiencing shooting right lateral leg pain from knee down when walking and altered skin sensation to the point of numbness.
I also have LSN, right sided menieres, right hip bursitis and right carpal tunnel syndrome and right vitreous detachment. It seems very coincidental. Wondering if the leg issue is related. Any ideas?

Hello @rgbaker You said that you have right leg pain and numbness, and a few other problems, all on the right side of your body. That does seem like a coincidence, doesn’t it? Is the leg pain new and have you seen a doctor for it yet?

Hi, I see my GP and specialists for the other conditions but haven’t mentioned the leg issue before. I have told them that my right leg does at times feel weaker than the left and I have to make a conscious effort to lift it when I walk but the pain and numbness is a relatively new thing and intermittent. My immunologist says all the other issues are related but stopped short of giving it a name or indeed calling it autoimmune. The leg pain makes it difficult to walk at times. It’s all frustrating.

@rgbaker I strongly suggest that you talk to your doctor about All you symptoms, including your leg. Start a small journal of when the pain/numbness started; do you feel any pins and needles in your leg; does the foot or lower leg ever swell; do you do anything different to bring on the pain; does your leg ever feel like it will give out? Lots of questions! But, i do think you should investigate.
Will you let me know what your doctor says?

I will. My GP is fully informed of all my other issues which have diagnoses and I am on treatment for. The leg is a newish feature.
