Low dose naltrexone for Post-Covid Recovery experiences?
Does anyone have experiences with low dose naltrexone for long Covid symptoms of significant brain fog, post-exertional fatigue, joint pain, muscle pain - inflammation, insomnia. A few studies in late 2022 indicate that low dose naltrexone 4.5 mg is helpful . Do you know of a specific doctor in NYC who prescribes it?

Can you offer more details, such as her LDN dosage and what symptoms improved?
Can you provide some info on what symptoms improved?
Yes, low dose Methylene Blue is interesting also.
I have been on LDN for Long Covid as post viral anti inflammatory. It is compounded at a well known pharmacy with high standards on preparation and cleanliness. So far I have not seen any improvement in my pain and I too developed burning in my arms. I am going to try to stick with the LDN though to see if it helps the bigger picture or until I cannot take the burning in my arms anymore. I have only been on the 4.5 mg dose since July 7th, 2023 and have had long covid issues since Oct 2022.
Recently recommended I try this as well-I would greatly appreciate your pharmacy contact and measurements, please! As a fellow nurse, I am SUPER particular about my med quality and sourcing! Thank you for sharing your knowledge/experience!
I am trying LDN. I started at 1.5 and then 3.0 for a few months with no noticeable improvement. I do have to take it in the morning to avoid insomnia. I have just recently started 4.5 and am seriously reconsidering it. I find myself taking deep breaths (anxious) and my sleep is horrible, not to mention daily headaches. I know it can take time but not sure it’s worth the trial period. I also take the gummy Coq10, no noticeable difference in my LHC symptoms.
Did you ever experience insomnia when taking it in the morning? I recently started taking it, .25mg for a week and now I'm on my 4th day at .5mg. The past 3 nights I've had more trouble sleeping than usual. Maybe it's a coincidence since I had insomnia issues before taking LDN. Just wondered what your experience was?
LDN saves my wife's life.
She was in a bad downward spiral to the point of being bed bound. The very next day after her first dose of 1.5mg she walked into the living room!!!!!!
However she is still very sick. Extreme fatigue, tremors and brain fog amongst many other issues
(We are not a Mayo patient, they have not expected us)
I had insomnia occasionally before LDN, but this is more persistent, it was not as severe last night so I’m hopeful that I can get used to the higher dose. I also find that I have stranger dreams. I had to titrate slowly.
I had significant improvement relatively quickly. I went through Ageless rx. I gained a significant amount of energy and cognition. I would say definitely try it. I also typically experience bad side affects but I haven’t on ldn naltrexone.
