Camzyos: Can it cause low blood pressure?
Has anyone taking camazyos experienced really low blood pressure. I usually have low blood pressure prior to be diagnosed with HCOM but now it is very low and I am having trouble with daily living. My cardiologist doesn’t seem to think it’s from the medication.

I was on the clinical trial for Aficamten. Double blind study. It didn't agree with me either. Little did I know that both Mavacamten and Aficamten were both "cardiac myosin inhibitors". They first put me on only metoprolol for the beginning of trial and I was fine...when they switched me over to Aficamten...I got so sick on day 2. Remember everyone is different. It has helped alot of people. I wound up being home bound for 4 months...even after stopping the drug. It is a chance you take when you do a clinical study. All is good now...back on metoprolol. No more clinical trials for me. But you don't know unless you try. My advice is to try anything that might give you a good quality of life. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't. ;-(
Don't be apprehensive. Everyone is different. Side effects can vary. I developed burning mouth syndrome and eruptive lingual papillitis from Mavacamten.
Never have been the same since. ;-(
Then on Aficamten, I developed serious inflamation in my colon on the 2nd day. Not fun. I was homebound 4 months. Had to have a colonoscopy...Not fun either. That is all resolved now. Proctologist said they deffinitly felt it was all caused by the clinical trial. So do I. But if you are searching for a better quality of life...don't hesitate. Life is a crapshoot.
