Looking for some guidance about mitra clip repair

I’ve had a mvp for probably 50 years. I’m approaching 79 and have been informed that I have a severe mitral insufficiency and I could benefit from the mitral clip method. Right now,I just have some shortness of breath when climbing stairs or walking too fast and was told I should decide to proceed with the repair when my daily living is impacted. I am interested in hearing from others who have gone this route and how you finally decided to do it.
