Recommendations on specific clinics for long COVID
I am totally frustrated with the options for getting treated for Long COVID. I have been unable to basically walk since Jan. 2021 and have tried everything I can think of to improve with no help. I know long COVID is a new disease and there is not much known about it, but I am ready to try anything. I tried getting many, many tests, a ton of physical therapy and nothing has helped. I think it has to do with my inner ear and when I get stuffed up, my balance gets even worse. Any suggestions and specific recommendations on doctor or clinics to try???

Yes, UF is the University of Florida. The website is ufhealth.org. Search for COVID RESTORE Treatment Program. Phone number 352-265-9355. Your PCP will have to fax a referral to them. Information on that is on this website.
This will be helpful to some. But, Florida has Mayo Post Covid Recovery in Jacksonville, USF in Tampa has a Post Covid Recovery Group. I didn’t get accepted at Mayo. E cause they required positive PCR results. I used the free government tests. But, since I live in Central Florida they recommended the USF Post Covid Recovery Group. But, the most helpful was our local Healthfirst Post Covid 19 Clinic. No clinical, all questions and referrals. Such an answer to prayer when my niece told me about the clinic only 1/2 hour away from me.

1 ReactionI was at Mayo Rochester last week. After getting back to Georgia they told me I have long covid. They have requested for me to return in person but I am wondering if there is someone in Georgia I can see for treatment? I cannot drive or work due to severe symptoms. My mom has to travel with me on her dime. Help
That’s frustrating. I’m not familiar with that area, but do you think your care team in Rochester could arrange for you to be seen at the Jacksonville campus? Would that be more accessible?
I think Emory has a Long COVID clinic. The tradeoff is if you decide to go somewhere else and you had a positive experience in Rochester, you may lose the coordination of care that they’re usually so good at, and their resources. And you might face another waiting list.

3 ReactionsDo you, @smdawson540 or others know if Hopkins is still running the clinic and perhaps if they have an 'outlet' of it in DC at Sibley Hospital that is now part of the Hopkins 'family'? I've tried to find something IN DC since transportation is an issue and not doing well finding.
Thanks.
Need guidance. My wife had 1 covid vaccine 2.5 years ago. 6 months later she had stroke like symptoms but no stroke. Her symptoms are light headed, brain fog, tumors, left side body tingling, extreme tiredness, head pressure and racing heart. We have seen many doctors including neurologist with no diagnosis or treatment. They say it’s made up but they have witnessed the tumors. We believe this could be long COVID or vaccine related. We are looking for a doctor who isn’t afraid to diagnose that if that is it and treat if possible. We live in southern IN but will travel if need. Any advice?

1 Reaction@jsnfltn My short story, figuratively through every Doctor in the 2 medical organizations in Charleston, SC and to Mayo Clinic Rochester. All tests showed normal (and of course I knew better with PEM, Exercise Intolerance, Rocking, Brain Fog) and my symptoms began within 2 weeks of my first and last Moderna booster. I never gave up and turned to Doctors YouTube and Google happily discovering there are small groups of Doctors and Medical Journalists worldwide working to help people with LC. Good news is in my case all treatment is virtual working through my local GP. If you feel you've exhausted all local possibilities suggest you spend many hours on YouTube finding, listening, studying. Best wishes and don't ever give up.
