It did not. I actually wrote a letter to the surgeon and ask for them. She said I should get a mammogram…

I did that, I have all records and notes. There is nothing in them concerning the placement.
We had the biopsy done at at a different facility. The records indicated the exact placement, and the manufacturer, and type of clip.

My on-line hospital and doctor group chart did not have this detailed information.
That is why I requested it on my own.❤❤❤

The detailed chart just says that they but in Titanium clips. It does not say they used bio zorb too.

I had 3 clips one out in with U/S, one the stereo type with a MM & one with an MRI
They were all replaced with wires before my lumpectomy
There are 3 different shapes but all the same I think

My clips were put in BEFORE surgery - I was told they were for the surgeon. They were removed by the surgeon along with the tumors in the right breast. I have 1 left in my Left breast, but because the biopsy said it was not cancer - there was no surgery on that side. My radiation was all on my right breast. I hope this helps.

My clips were put in during my tumor biopsy; they were removed when I had surgery. My health care network has My Chart. It is an online site that contains every lab test, radiologists’ reports, pathology info and basically contains every aspect of my medical care. The radiologist report of my tumor biopsy contained all the information on the clip (placement, type, etc). My understanding is that the clips aided the surgeon and a dye was inserted before the surgery to locate my sentinel lymph node.
