Livalo vs Generic

Has anyone been on the brand name Livalo for high cholesterol, but when you switched to generic you started having vivid dreams? I was fine with the brand name, but it really seems to me the generic is causing me this problem.

Hello @jimmymel, I'd like to invite @lorrainehackett and @silvern12 to this discussion as they have discussed being on livalo and may be able to share their experiences.

@jimmymel, have you discussed this change in symptoms with your provider?

Yes, I have discussed with my physicians assistant that I get vivid dreams from the generic form but not the brand. The office tried to get me pre-authorized with my insurer to get the brand, but it was denied. I am planning on challenging the ruling, and will also see a doctor in the same practice. Just wondering if any one else had this issue. I know statins can cause vivid dreams, but brand Livalo did not.
