Lightheadedness 24 hrs a day; otherwise very healthy fit 79 yr old

Has anyone suffered from lightheadedness 24 hrs a day without any health problems. First diagnosed with BPPV, but crystals were realigned and thus spinning stopped, vestibular therapy for 6 weeks but still lightheaded; MRI showed mild partial fluid in mastoid; amoxicillin given for 7 days, but still lightheaded. Nutrition is good; otherwise very healthy 79 year old. 120/80 bp and blood sugar good.

@melinda561 Thanks for the reply. I too am on a statin. Though my problems started before that they are now worse. Getting off meds is sometimes difficult as docs do not want to risk something else going haywire I guess. I did get them to agree to cut back on some due to weight loss. It is a process. But its good to know someone else feels the medications are contributing to symptoms.

@brigid4 For me, I’ve been on them maybe 15 years or more and for me, I think the side effects accumulated in the last two years or so as I aged. I’m 75. One can’t be 100 percent sure but I’m definitely functioning better.

Have you considered you might have mold or mast cell activation? These can cause dizziness and mainstream doctors rarely have studied these. However there are some clinics in the US that treat mold and mast cell. Mold is in many homes and we become more likely to get it as we get older and our immune systems weaken.
