Do you have experience with ketamine treatments?

Hi. My brother went thru 8 spravato treatments and had no results. Not to say it won’t work for you. My friend who’s a therapist has a patient who had it and is doing well. My friend said you should follow up with therapy. Hoping things turn around.

My son is 41 and started Spravato and therapy a couple months ago. Thats when all hell broke loose with his feelings that I was to blame for every bad thing he has been through. His words and outbursts were frightening( he lives in another state) I had to block him a couple times..He keeps saying that the Spravato has helped. He cant handle any stress, he literally has called me having a breakdown, and has texted about killing himself. One time when this happened I kept saying call the Crisis line. He says I am crazy and that I have a demon. I am a christian and if I didnt have God in my life I dont know how I could get through this. He is estranged from his father, so I have always been there for him, and have helped him financially through rough times. It just seems odd that after starting Spravato this all happened..

Maybe you go in for an assessment with the nurse and tell her how you felt since your last treatment. Maybe it was too high a dose. Sending hugs

Have you thought about going in treatment? The way you are feeling (traumatized, worse than ever, etc.) At least get an assessment. Seriously I hope you find the right plan of action and the correct dose of medication that helps you feel much better. ((((HUGS))))

I started Spravato mid 2024. I wasn’t sure if it was really working or not for a while. Because my depression has a lot to do with my pain. After I stopped because it was a new year and I was having another surgery. I was feeling slightly better, but my biggest problem. Is I have absolutely no energy and I’m tired all the damn time. I’ve been saying I felt pretty good and I did. But the fact that I still can’t get anything done around my house like I used to is killing me. This summer has been the worse ever. I’ve been married for 25 years this year. My husband is a complete ass he’s no help what so ever. You would think he would help to make things better on me. But hell no. He’s had it good for over 15+ years. I have always done all the cooking, cleaning and ALL THE YARD WORK. Because I loved doing that stuff. But now I can’t because of back which needs surgery now. I’m sorry I’m getting off track. But a few months ago my depression took a total dump. And I was able to go back to Spravato. Which is helping one part of me but the other parts are still hurting. If that helps anyone.

Can I get some feedback from anyone who has done Spravato ?

I have not yet been able to find a doctor that will prescribe spravato to me. It is supposed to be very helpful with pain. Normally, at the pain goes away so does a lot of depression. Good luck with your search. I would definitely try it if I could

I started Spravato treatments in late 2023 and currently get 2 treatments per month. For me it works very well. Shortly after starting, the debilitating weighed down feelings of depression lifted. I would highly recommend it. Fortunately my insurance covers it. I would encourage those with treatment resistant depression to discuss option with their mental health provider.
