Posted by loula @loula, Feb 3, 2021

Hello to all, yesterday chemo went very well I mentioned to the doctor about slowing the drip and she wrote instructions on slowing the drip and also from a 1/2 hr to 45 mins. also the sugar cookies I made for all might of helped! but I made it through with no problems so a big thank you to all the mentioned the drip going to fast. one more chemo to go then that is done. Then sun is out today so I am going to enjoy the outside.

@loula Cynde, it’s been almost 1 month and I wondered if everything is still going ok. Any more problems with the chemotherapy?

Hello Becky
I had my last chemo treatment on the 12th all went very well. a couple days later I had a set back with my liver hurting and my right lung the same I think it is probably from the treatment and maybe next week I will be better. I go for a ct scan on the 28th to see how treatments did. will stay on the Keytruda and hopefully it will keep me good for a long time! need to get my covid shots but have to get feeling better. How are you doing? have you gotten your covid vaccine? so happy to be able to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. I can not express enough how this site has helped me to go through this cancer and to deal with it, I tell everyone about this site. If anyone has just received the news they have cancer and are in a scared place please let me tell you I was there and thought everyday I was going to die and went into panic mode but this site gave me hope and stayed with me and gave great advise. it is not the end of life just the beginning of a different life and there are many different ways to keep us going. Thank you to all for being here for me.

Cynde- Good morning! It's so good to hear that you have finished your treatments. Hopefully, you will begin to feel a little better each day! I agree with you about Mayo Connect. I was afraid that my life wasn't going to get much better with a lot of things and was searching for answers when I ran into the link to Mayo. It felt like a safe haven, and is!
I'm proud to have been asked to be a Mentor. I have never looked back. Hearing such wonderful feedback from members means a whole lot to all of us! A big fat thank you!

@loula I’m so glad to hear that everything has gone well even with a hiccup or two! I still think every twinge means something is wrong. It just means I’d better go find something positive to do!
How nice to sit outside in the sun! We had a big hail storm yesterday. You should see my geraniums! Or what’s left of them.
I’m happy that you found us and we were able to help.

Hello to everyone, I just had to send a note to let everyone know that I finished my treatments of chemo and had my CT scan done to let me know of how things are going, first of all I am so lucky I did not get really sick with the taxol/carbo/keytruda just very tired so I learned how to relax and take it easy. Now the CT showed my tumor in left lung went from a 6 cm to 2 cm and the 2 tumors in liver one went from a 4 cm to a 1 cm and one is undetectable and cancer has not spread ! So I do stay on Keytruda once a month but I just had to tell everyone the great news. Thank the Lord for making me strong and healthy enough to have gone through the treatments. just hope we can keep it from coming back. and Big Thanks to all on this site for all your encouragement and information.
