Has anyone experienced internal vibrations?

Posted by redladyjoni @redladyjoni, Nov 26, 2018

I started having the only way I can explain it is internal vibrations. I've had them for 3 months now, I went to t hihe ER and they told me it was anxiety. A doctor diagnosed me at a clinic as having Lyme disease I've started a 21-day prescription of Doxycycline I'm on day 7. I went to a psychiatrist a week ago to get something because of my nerves are just over the brink. He prescribed me Gabapentin and Valium I've only been on them a few days.
Has anyone experienced these internal vibrations?I have them almost 24/7 chest neck stomach from the hips down. I have more lab tests that should be in today, but the doctor's office said that they would not call unless there was some abnormality in the lab work.

I take Diazepam, Gabapentin, medical marijuana and IVIg every 5 weeks (3 days each time). Were you diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome?

@hockeyguy13 In what ways are you trying to help yourself during this rough patch? Do you speak with a counselor?

I’ve just try to keep busy, but it’s hard. Feels like I’m stuck in the same day. Not seeing a counselor right now.

It is a very rare neuroautoimune syndrome that causes muscle spasms. It is very disabling but is different in each patient. I know that internal tremors are very common with SPS. There is a lot of anxiety that comes along with a diagnosis of SPS, so perhaps your doctor is not completely off.

@andrews65 Hi there. It must be frustrating to feel such intenseness. Do you use any techniques to calm your mind and body during the episodes?

I try but it doesn’t do any good. The shocks in my head is horrible. Everyday all day long. I can’t take it. It drives me nuts.

@andrews65 Ugh, after 2 years I can see how it would drive you nuts, I'm so sorry. How has your neurologist treated your internal vibrations? Do you take nerve medication and has it helped any?

I have been experiencing tremors, internal vibrations, trouble walking and talking. I've got to get a second opinion because my neurologist doesn't think it's anything to worry about. I have RA, Fibro, MCTD, and other things. I'm thinking MS because I have never heard of the other diseases cause this trouble. Any ideas?

Hi did you ever find an answer to your symptoms? I could be B12 deficiency.

@hockeyguy13 Hey there, what's new? I understand the fact that having symptoms is hard, and what it's like to feel stuck in the same day. Heck, I just told my husband the other day that some days I feel like I'm treading water in the deep end.

I don't recall if you mentioned work. I know you mentioned working out, but do you have a job, are you able to work? I allowed myself to be in that stuck space for a while, but ultimately realized that I was the only one who get myself out of the negative cycle. It takes continual work to pull yourself out of the deep end. It's ok to tread water for a little, but you can't stay there forever...too much good life out there to grab. What are you doing that is fun or positive for distraction? What joy have you found lately?
