My favorite is #2. I think about that quote often.
The first time I heard it was from Mentor Scott, several years ago.

1 ReactionOne that I quote to myself often:
"No amount of regret will change the past.
No amount of anxiety will change the future,
But any amount of gratitude will change the present."

7 ReactionsLast Thursday fires (metaphor) were popping up every 30-minutes and I was trying to stomp them out as fast as I could, in addition to 'moving' by myself. My 'new' neighbor knocked on my door and said D had knocked on his door three times, banged on the door and he could show me the videos and was trying to 'break in' to his house. I apologized and explained she had Alzhiemers and the new move was confusing to her. But he had to complain to me about it three more times. Two quotes carried me through the day:
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."--Ferris Bueller
"God never gives you more than you can handle." --1 Corinthians 10:13

4 ReactionsAll of these are insightful. Number 7 gives me perspective and makes me realize that my other half is still my other half. Even though his thinking is different. Number 11 lets me know that there is a way through this MCI journey. # 14 solidifies the resilience in the form of acceptance, no matter how great the task, Number 23 reminds me to find and learn the song in his heart, to bring him joy on those days, where we both feel confused, down and trodden. Number 18 reminds me to focus on the way I'm carrying my daily load. Thank you for sharing.

4 ReactionsI’m so glad the quotes resonate.
Today I’m thinking
7. “The disease might hide the person underneath, but there’s still a person in there who needs your love and attention.” - Jamie Calandriello
He is still a person, not necessarily the same but the daily challenge is a reminder to love more even when it’s hard.
