I have been taking magnesium before bed and able to sleep sound. I take magnesium taurate (3 capsules) and L-threonate (1 capsule). Hope it helps you.

My anxiety’s been through the roof since Covid. Four years is a long time to have high levels of anxiety. It can mess with your body. Docs say my body was in fight or flight mode, for years. I have high levels of cykotenes in my blood. I lost weight because I lost my appetite. A lot of my long Covid symptoms may have been due to stress.

earlylonghauler, if you've had anxiety for that long, you should ask your doctor for an anxiety medication. Anxiety sucks and does mess BIG TIME with your sleep and overall health. Get help for your anxiety.

Yes - never had anxiety before this. Infection end of Nov 2023. December was fine. Mid january, this all started (6 weeks post infection). Anxiety was high along wirh blood pressure. And my platelet count kept coming back high (mid to upper 600s). I started hydroxizine and it helps. I also started pepcid since it too is a histamine blocker (h2). Hydroxizine is an h1. I tried Lexapro but couldnt handle the onboarding. It amplified my anxiety like crazy.
So I take the hydroxizine, morning and night along with pepcid. And baby aspring. I take some supplements (buffered vitamin c, NAC, nattokinase, and zinc). The past 4 days Ive felt almost normal.
Without help from understanding doctors, this is tough. Feels like experimenting. But thats how we’re fumbling through.

Yes, to both. Every night I deal with insomnia. General anxiety (slight) all the time. I haven't figured out if the anxiety is a side effect of the illness/condition or a result of not knowing what is in store for me going forward.

Cindisue, I have sought help. I felt I could handle the anxiety, but a recent seizure left me depressed. Depression is truly awful, and it convinced me I needed help. I’m now taking Zoloft and probably should have done it sooner.
