I’m thrilled to get hair growth and if it grows on my face, I remove it.

I’ve had problems with hair loss since menopause and onward, the only treatment I’ve ever used is biotin..it slows down the fallout and a little improvement with regrowth. I’ve always wanted to try something better but when my doctor said that the treatments available affected the heart I never had the nerve to go further. I had Long Covid and it caused my heart to beat too fast, it was very frightening so the last thing I wanted to do was use something known for affecting the heart. I decided to take good care of my hair, find a really good stylist that can work with my hair to bring out the best for me, I just can’t let my vanity take control and cause further health problems. I am interested in looking into rosemary oil to see if there are any hidden issues.

thanks. I'm taking half of a 2.5mg. tablet(just started). After 2 months I'll go to 2.5. Have you noticed hair shedding?

I don't know that the brand matters. Forgot to mention that I apply it right after shampooing.

I’m still taking half of 2.5, but will increase soon. I had no shedding after starting the med. I had read that some people do get shedding initially upon starting the med, but I did not.

I think all meds have potential side effects. That’s why I started out with a tiny dose to see how I react to it. The dose for hair loss is quite small compared to the dose one would tale for blood pressure. But, everyone should do what they feel comfortable with.

What do you apply after shampooing and is it for hair?

I use rosemary oil. A few drops, massaged into the scalp.
There are reliable studies on the NIH site showing that it works as well as Rogaine.
Do not get it in your eyes. And wash your hands after applying. The smell is strong, but pleasant.

Be careful if you have a heart history. It may cause arrhythmias
