In menopause, can both breast still get tender

I am 57 years old and I have been in menopause for 3/4 years now. The past couple of weeks both breasts have been tender and sore like when I had my cycle. Is this normal? My mammogram and ultrasound two months ago were fine. Has anyone had this?

At 57 and only in menopause for 3/4 years there is a good chance that you are just experiencing some hormonal changes. Too much estrogen will usually be the driving factor for sensitive breasts.
Still any changes are best evaluated by your doctor who knows your medical history and you best.
With cystic breasts most of my life, I found when I began BHRT, bioidentical hormone therapy in perimenopause, that my best hormone was progesterone. The use of progesterone eliminated the tenderness and cysts for me.
Indeed, in perimenopause, we frequently have too much estradiol and testosterone and very, very little progesterone which sets us up for breast tenderness, anxiety, sleeplessness and even anger rages.
A good hormone specialist can check and determine what if anything might help you in the way of hormones. When I first began BHRT, I only took progesterone for many years, and only started estradiol recently at the age of 73.
