@vignalicreations, Welcome to Connect. I can sense that you are currently anxious and confused, and I can understand that.
I am a liver/kidney recipient who was referred by my doctor when my liver disease had progressed to the point where I had to be considered for transplant evaluation. The transplant center (not Mayo) called me to schedule an appointment. (I was later transferred to Mayo, but that is not relevant to your current concern)

I do not clearly understand what you mean when you say that, "I’m gonna be set with a team but not sure when". Are you under the care of a cardiologist? Do you mean that your doctor - Cardiologist - is going to contact Mayo? Has he/she contacted Mayo yet?

Yes I believe so! He said mayo or another hospital. My memory isn’t to good. But yes my cardiologist and my other Electrophysiologist gets all tests and paper work together. Yes I’m anxious. Yes I can’t wait to run again without problems. I can’t wait. I know it’s not easy but I am ready to work hard.this is me after my right and left catheter.

I would suggest calling Mayo and they can direct you.
I received a kidney and transplant took place. I was placed on the UNOS list and received a kidney in six months. I never had to go in dialysis prior to transplant. I owe it all to Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota

That’s really awesome! Thank you!

@vignalicreations, I want to add to the post by @kfn57. Here is the link to the Mayo Heart Transplant Program.
You can read about the Heart Transplant care at Mayo Clinic. And you will see contact information for Minnesota, Florida, and Arizona.

Hi, Welcome to connect vignalicreations, Im a heart transplant recipient and yes to your question at least in my case. After many ablations my Electrophysiologist referred me to Mayo Clinic for an evaluation as a precautionary measure in case I needed a transplant. I ended up a few months later receiving one but the evaluation usually comes first.
May I ask what makes you feel you need a new heart? have they told you what kind of problem you have?

Chest pain (786.50) (R07.9)

Atrial flutter (427.32) (I48.92)
Cardiomyopathy, nonischemic (425.4) (I42.8)
ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) in place (V45.02) (Z95.810)

Hi and yes quite the list. I too had many of those same issues
But that's the beauty of modern medicine. I had a pretty great life with the 10 years I had a pacemaker with difibulator. A few episodes where I needed it's help to restart my rhythm but thankful it was there to do so.
Have they scheduled you for an evaluation at Mayo Phoenix yet? That's where I had my evaluation with a great team of Doctors. I like Mayo's approach of a team effort. I still see the same team now 5 years post transplant. Let me know when you go and if I can be of any help with knowledge of the process I can help. It typically takes a few days of testing and you'll meet a full range of medical and even emotional and even spiritual people if you want some help there also.

Omy thank you yes . It stinks because I have a list of other problems besides heart issues. I one thing is fixed then maybe the other things will be better . My dr is slow but I just went through right and left cath the end of April. And I have had 2 ablations and dr changed me to ranolazine because I was taking too many nitro. When they do all these tests do they keep ya in the hospital?
