Is it a given they put you on a stati? What are the odds of a second TIA?

I also have FMD and was given Lipitor after my strokes due to dissected vertebral artery. After a few months it healed and vascular said stop Lipitor bc I never had cholesterol problems prior. Neuro allowed me to stop Plavix. I’m still on aspirin daily. Make sure you go in for checkups and ALWAYS remind every doctor that you have FMD

Thank you for responding. Under Balanced vertebral here were the comments :arteries supply a normal basilar artery. Also said: no focal stenosis or dissection. Balanced vertebral arteries. Most of my blood numbers were really good. My cholesterol shot up and went crazy. I know that can happen when your blood pressure goes sky high. It was 209....I guess I freaked out. It is usually 120/70. I am almost 79 and still work out 5 days a week and do weights 3 times a week. Keep my weight pretty good, but decided there are things I need to go back to like the Mediterranean diet and could stand to lose about 10 lbs. Thanks again for your information.
