How many of you have tried Lyrica (Pregabalin) in doses from 600 mg?
I have had Lumbar stenosis and cervical spondylitis for over 8 years. It hurts from a level8 to level10 pain at the worst times.
I have gone to over 10 pain doctors and they all kicked me out bcause I consumed more pain med than prescribed “because it hurts so bad”.
I got a new pain dr and he prescribed me a different time release pain med which I will pick uo tomorrow.
In the meantime I am taking 600 to 1200 mg of Pregabilin which helped me sleep. When I woke up today, my terrible pain had subsided to a level4.
I could suddenly walk a again without any stiffness.
No side effects. Does not make me high at all.
Check with your doctor. I assume no responsibility for any adverse effect someone may experience as a result of doing what I did.
CHECK WITH YOUR DR.

Hi- in my experience with pain drs-the draconian laws squeezing users of opiates are whar all pain drs and pharmacists fear. Because of this drs now are prescribing what they believe is the minumum amount of opiates in ordee to hopefully relieve the patient’s pain issues. Also, morphine is worse than useless. The nexr time you go to the hospital, tell them the morphine did not work If they ask you whar does work, tell them Dilaudid or Fentanyl.
And get a new pain dr. Pregabalin is not an opiate even though it is a controlled substance. The max dose is 600 mg a day but work up slowly to it
If you get a new pain dr, be sure to provide xrays, ct scans or mris so the dr can see why you are in pain.
I wish I could help you further but am not a dr.
Just keep posting and stick up for yourself to drs.
@anniesezu812 suggest getting politely forceful. Plan in advance what you want to say Then give it to the Dr in writing. I find that helps in part because it speeds things up. .It then must go into your records.
@ailsas Thank you.
I didn't know anything written would go in notes. Excellent advice, thanks 😊!!
This blog is wonderfully helpful.
Sent me into congestive heart failure.
I am a 25 year old female and I took 600mg of pregabalin for a whole year and it made me gain about 90 pounds and made me have other issues such as chronic back pain. And bad depression
@kaitlin I’ve used lyrica now for about twenty years and it’s definitely better for me that garbagepin aka gabapentin
