Did you have a fever after getting the COVID-19 vaccine? What to do?

Posted by echo2022 @echo2022, Feb 5, 2022

I got the first shot yesterday afternoon. I started to have a fever last night and it’s worse now. When should I go to see the doctor or the emergency clinic? Thanks

I had a slight fever after my 1st dose of Pfizer vaccine. I was told that I could take Tylenol. And I was told that a raised temperature could be a possible reaction to the vaccine.
However it is worth noting that a fever for a transplant recipient could be indication of something more serious.
@echo2022, I realize that you are not established with a provider at the present time, but I would suggest you call the clinic where you got your vaccine, or you can even try a call to the doctor or emergency clinic and explain that you are a transplant recipient, then ask for them what they advise you to do.
Can you do this before they close?

How are you today? What did you decide to do about the fever?

Thanks for your concern. :)) I feel better today. My body temperature is lower today.
I'm looking for other specialists. I hope I can go to see them earlier.
