Hormone Replacement starting at 75yrs old
Doing reach, I have decided to try HRT with testosterone, very low dose. I’m in pretty good health, but was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rhuematica 2yrs ago. I’m Just trying to make a better life with what yrs I have left. There are so many positive messages out there, and yes I’m on the older side. I have 6 daughters and we have all been doing a lot of reading on this subject. Is there anyone else trying HRT at an older age?

I am 56 and started an estrogen patch, and bioidentical progesterone. I feel a lot better and my sleep is very much improved. All the best to you. It's your body and if your doctor can't give you a good reason not to prescribe it, then don't give up!!
I started using Gynatrof Natural Vaginal Moisturizer. It has hyaluronic acid and other things like vitamin e. So, not only does it lubricant it heals. I have used it for 2 weeks now, using it 2x per week at bedtime, and I am noticing a huge change.
I am 68 and just had a complete hysterectomy and am considering hrt. Really unsure after reading pros and cons. Anyone had a positive experience with this and how did it change your quality of life?
I feel the same. Just want to avoid symptoms before they start after complete hysterectomy at 68.

My DEXA scan scores improved on estradiol patches. You wouldn't need progesterone since you no longer have a uterus. Look up Dr. Barbara Taylor (Menopause Taylor) on YouTube. She has hundreds of videos about HRT.
As mentioned earlier in the stream, Dr Kelly Casperson's podcast You Are Not Broken, and Midi Health. And do go back and read all of our comments earlier in this chat.
hormones are so confusing. I'm 74, had a partial hyst. 40 yrs ago, so no uterus. But a couple yrs ago, I started using just a drop of progesterone cream to help me sleep. And it does! So IDK about advice saying prog.is not needed.
It's not needed to prevent uterine cancer. Yes, it can help you sleep. You can't use estradiol if you have a uterus without progesterone
