Highly recommend Dr. Griffing's Video Q&A about Scleroderma

Posted by sonya_nc @sonya_nc, Nov 16, 2017

Hi. I watched the 11/15/17 Scleroderma Q&A Video with Dr. Griffing. It was very helpful to me.

I am very interested in printing out copies of the two diagrams behind him in the video. He referenced the information several times, but, I could not clearly read it. Could anyone please send me a link where I can find the two graphs? The best I could see, one was entitled Evolution of Skin Thickness and the second, Clinical Serologic Classification (of Antibodies?) I would like to make printouts of the two to review more carefully. Thank you.

Hi @sonya_nc and welcome to Connect. I will look into getting those diagrams from Dr. Griffing or a link to where they are published. It may take me a day or two to track them down. 🙂
For anyone else wishing to see the Video Q&A about Scleroderma here is the direct link: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/webinar/video-qa-about-scleroderma/

Sonya, I didn't think your question about botox treatments was a vanity question at all. Good luck with the job hunt.

I found Dr. Griffing's presentation very informative and helpful. Thank you! I am wondering about the five year period he mentioned with limited sclerosis. As I put my puzzle together, I have anti-centromere antibodies, Raynauds, and severe fatigue and muscle pain. However, my capillaries look normal, as do my lungs and heart. Is there a name for this stage? It's so confusing to feel ill, but not have a diagnosis due to no tightening of the skin. Is there a course of proactive action someone like me should be taking? Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to the next broadcast.
