I've just found this group and look forward to getting to know you

Hi I've just found this group I'm Jan and am just moving to Australia. I had a heart valve repair in 2003 and now am in constant arrhythmia and have some heart failure. I'm pretty well, aged 62 and keep on taking the tablets! I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you, sharing what can be scary experiences, and getting advice.

Welcome Jan!
I tagging some of the Heart & Blood Health members to grab a cup of coffee and come meet you. Please let me introduce @marymcadams @lynnkay1956 @HeartPatches @johnwburns @martishka @Sensation. There are many more of course too.

So, you're moving to Australia - just in time for winter I might add. What concerns do you have about moving to a new country and your medical care? Any concerns about travel or weather adjustments? Would love to hear what has motivated the change of location and to get to know you.

Hi<br />
So we are in NZ at present and my husband got offered a job in Victoria. I<br />
have no concerns about the climate at this stage just the stress of getting<br />
there! I had a bit of a funny turn yesterday but back on top now thanks.<br />

Hi @colleenyoung, not to get off topic, but I am currently in an expat situation (US citizen living abroad on my husband´s long term assignment). If questions about overseas healthcare come up, please tag me. I can not answer country-specific questions, but I do know the important questions to ask before moving abroad. 🙂

Jan, bad me for assuming that you were moving to Australia from the US. So at least you won't have a cross globe and equator move, and the season is the same. What was the funny turn that happened yesterday?

Brilliant @teatime. I have taken note because I'm sure that will come up. Good to have someone to tag when it does.
